PURPOSE:

Participants will share their thoughts and memories of homes they have lived in, along with their preferences in architectural style and interior design, among other topics.

DESCRIPTION:

What makes a house a home? Together we will explore our memories of home and the factors that have influenced our tastes in architecture and interior design. Projects may include: collages or mood boards; presentations on domestic architecture styles; talks on particular designers, movements, and resources; or trends in interior design.

ROLE OF PARTICIPANTS: Participants will select a topic of their choice to create a model/project, deliver a short presentation, or lead a discussion on a topic related to home.

ABOUT THE MODERATOR: Nancy Hayes Clune grew up in a small Cape Cod house in New Jersey and has owned two 1920s-era homes (with porches) in Massachusetts. She has visited many bungalow neighborhoods and collects Mission-style objects.
