In addition to the core program of seminars and workshops, FCLIR members may organize a variety of extracurricular activities. Historically, these have included excursions such as museum outings, music performances, and tours of historic sites. Recently short online programs, such as a gardening group or a conversation with an invited guest on a topic of general interest, have been added.
A number of interest groups for members, including book, film, and current events discussion groups, meet monthly throughout the year.
Members may also participate in FCLIR public programs and special events open to the public. Fees for such programs and events, if any, are generally discounted for members.
