Treasures in Our Valley

Obscure and Obvious

Moderators: Kay Klausewitz, Nancy Clune

Details

PURPOSE:

We will learn about places of interest nearby and visit some of them together.

DESCRIPTION:

At the first class, participants will prioritize their favorite destinations from a list created by them and the moderators before then. The list may include historical houses and buildings, galleries, college facilities, various community historical associations, and perhaps some places that are new to the moderators. Each week, we will visit a place chosen by the class.

ROLE OF PARTICIPANTS: Participants will choose at least three places they’d like to visit and send them to the moderators before the first class. If the class chooses your suggestion, you may be asked to arrange for or lead a tour of the place. One additional driver may be needed each week.
RESOURCES:

Participants should be able to find relevant information on the internet.

ABOUT THE MODERATOR: Kay is a retired educator. She has been a member of FCLIR for over a decade, serving on the Council and various committees. Nancy is a retired public librarian who enjoys reading, singing, and road tripping. Both enjoy exploring places in the Valley.
