Seminar: Writing to Remember – Purple
My mother died a year and a half ago, and I wrote the piece as I found memories of her while tending to her garden, and the house where she and my father (still living in the house at age 100) have lived for thirty years. Other memories surfaced at my own house. It was an attempt to hold onto the positive but challenging gifts that she left me.
